Camp’n’Connect is your go-to app for meeting fellow campers! It makes it super easy to connect with like-minded camping and vanlife enthusiasts in your area that you might not run into otherwise.

Make plans through the app and have an awesome time together! Plus, check out the event calendar to see what’s happening nearby. You might even meet up at one of the cool events! That’s how real friendships are born with Camp’n’Connect!

No, you can download the app for free from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. We want to provide all campers – no matter how they camp – a free way to connect with each other.

Additionally, there is a paid premium version that allows you to unlock extra features and support our work on the app. 😊

Registration & Login

Occasionally, the email with the confirmation link ends up in the spam folder. If you can’t find the email there either, feel free to write to us at info@campnconnect.com, and we’ll look into the issue together.

It’s also possible that your email inbox is full and you cannot receive new emails. In this case, you should delete some old emails to free up space and then get back to us.

By providing your date of birth, your age is always accurately recorded in the app, and you won’t have to change it manually each year. Age is relevant for searching, especially when looking for a specific age group.

No need to panic 🙂 Click on “Forgot Password?” on the login page. Next, enter your email address and then click the “Send Link” button. You will receive a link sent to your registered email address. Once you click on it, you’ll be directed to a page where you can set your new password. Make sure all criteria are met: your password must consist of at least 8 characters, including at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one digit, and one special character. (An underscore is not considered a special character.)

Currently, this is unfortunately not possible. If you need to change your email address, please contact us via email at info@campnconnect.com.

To do this, simply click on the three dots in the top right corner of your profile, then select “Manage Account,” and finally click on the green “CHANGE PASSWORD” button. There, you can set your new password.

Functions

Yes, that’s possible 🙂 If you want to be undisturbed for a while and not be found by other campers, you can hide your profile in the search. To do this, tap the three dots in the top right corner of your profile and then go to “Settings.” There, slide the “Be Visible” toggle under “Search” to the left. The toggle will turn gray, and your profile will be hidden.
However, please keep in mind that as long as the toggle is gray, you will not be shown to other campers in the search results, nor will you be able to search for others.

No, your location is not visible to other campers. Your privacy and safety are our top priorities. You alone decide whether and to whom you want to share your location. If you find another camper likable, you can send them your current location using the “Send Location” feature in the chat so you can meet up and do something together.

The cause of this is often found in the smartphone settings. There, you can choose when your location should be updated.

If you have the option “only while using the app” enabled in the settings, your location will only be updated when the app is open. If you don’t use the app for a few days or weeks, your location won’t be updated during that time, leading to incorrect or outdated distance information.

Therefore, it’s important to have the “always” option enabled in the settings. With this setting, the location will be regularly updated in the background, ensuring that the distance information in the app is always current.

This can have several reasons:

In the Camp’n’Connect app, you can choose whether you want to receive push notifications for new chat messages. To do this, go into the app and tap the three dots in the top right corner of your profile, then go to Settings. Under the “Chat” section, you can select whether you want to be notified about new messages. Slide the switch to the right so that it turns green to enable notifications. If the switch is grey, notifications are disabled.

2. Settings on your smartphone
You can also enable or disable notifications in your smartphone’s settings.

iOS:
Go to System Settings > Notifications > CampNConnect > Allow Notifications

Android:
Go to System Settings (gear icon) > Apps > CampNConnect > Notifications > Allow Notifications

Ethic & Compliance

It’s very important to us that communication within the app is respectful. If you have been harassed, insulted, or even threatened, please report the user using the reporting feature. You can find this on the user’s profile or in the chat at the top right by tapping on the three dots.

We hope you never need to use both options, but you can find them in the profile of each user as well as in the chat with them. In either view, tap the three dots in the top right corner and choose whether you want to report or block the user.

It’s very important to us that there are no contents in the app that show nudity, violence, weapons, drugs, prohibited symbols, or similar things. If you see such an image in the app, please report the user using the reporting feature. You can find this on the user’s profile or in the chat at the top right by tapping on the three dots. There, you can choose whether to report and/or block a user.
